Meet the Author
Douglas G. Goldberg lives in Colorado Springs, Colorado with his wife Robin, where he has been practicing law for nearly forty years in the areas of estate planning and representing business owners.
Doug’s writing career started early in life. He wrote his first poem when he was ten years old and developed a love for writing in high school. He attended the University of Denver on a baseball scholarship, and later played professionally, and although his college studies were dedicated to his business degree, he continued to expand his love for writing, and published four poems when he was 21 years old.
Fast forward eighteen years later to 1998 when Doug was invited to his son’s preschool story time. It was here where the story of a giraffe who was born with no spots was first shared. That story ultimately became Iggy Finds Peace, the first in the KidzFruit series.
One of Doug’s favorite scriptures is Galatians 5. Known as the Bible passage that identifies the “Fruit of the Spirit,” Doug was divinely inspired to build upon the Iggy story and create the nine-book KidzFruit series in an effort to teach kids about the value of those nine character traits in their lives.
Doug is the author of several other books on topics that include legal and estate planning matters, one for baseball catchers, and a love story he wrote for his wife, Robin, that includes their wedding vows. His current projects include a large collection of poetry, a sequel to his wife’s book, and a new series that dives into the Beatitudes in Jesus’ Sermon on the Mount in Matthew 5:1-12.
Doug has three adult sons who are married to amazing women, and five grandchildren, with hopefully more to come.
